چکیده
Digital Elevation Models commonly known as DEM’s are widely used in Terrain Analysis & image processing applications. A Digital Elevation Model is commonly used for Analysis of various features & objects which are remotely sensed by various devices & Techniques of Modern Era. Detail Literature Review of DEM by referring various Journals & Research papers is proposed in this paper. Various Remote sensing techniques to capture Terrain Surface are studied along with their practical use in the field of Geoanalysis. We enlisted various Interpolation algorithms, Global DEM’s, Quality Parameters & practical use of DEM’s.

Effects of Digital Elevation Models (DEM) Spatial Resolution on Hydrological Simulation
Digital Elevation Model is one of the most important data for watershed modeling whit hydrological models that it has a significant impact on hydrological processes simulation. Several studies by the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) as useful Tool have indicated that the simulation results of this model is very sensitive to the quality of topographic data. The aim of this study is evaluati...
متن کاملAssessment Effect of the Spatial Resolution of Digital Elevation Model on Daily Discharge Estimation of Arazkuseh Watershed Using SWAT Model
The spatial quality of the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) has a great effect on the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) semi-distributed model. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of spatial accuracy of three DEMs with spatial resolutions of 10, 50 and 200 m on the results of daily discharge simulation in the Arazkuseh subwatershed located in Gorganroud watershed, Golestan pro...
متن کاملEvaluating optimized digital elevation precipitation model using IDW method (Case study: Jam & Riz Watershed of Assaloyeh, Iran)
A watershed management program is usually based on the results of watershed modeling. Accurate modeling results are decided by the appropriate parameters and input data. Precipitation is the most important input for watershed modeling. Precipitation characteristics usually exhibit significant spatial variation, even within small watersheds. Therefore, properly describing the spatial variation o...

Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) are used to estimate different morphologies, analysis of river profile, delineating drainage basin and drainage pattern associated with lithological and structural changes. The study area is Maroon River located in Khuzestan Province, Iran. In this study geomorphometric analysis based on DEM carried out to understand Maroon river uplift rate and tectonic- erosion...
متن کاملEffect of digital elevation model’s resolution in producing flood hazard maps
Flooding is one of the most devastating natural disasters occurring annually in the Philippines. A call for a solution for this malady is very challenging as well as crucial to be addressed. Mapping flood hazard is an effective tool in determining the extent and depth of floods associated with hazard level in specified areas that need to be prioritized during flood occurrences. Precedent to the...
